Kia ora, and welcome to our new whanau and friends. We have had some exciting changes this week with our new centre opening.
Speed Limit
Please SLOW DOWN in the car park when dropping off and picking up! We have had a few near misses with children.
Programme
Our Nga Teina group are re-establishing their sense of belonging with the huge group of four year olds having moved to the newer centre. They are enjoying the sensory experiences being provided and the use of natural resources incorporated with their art opportunities. Nga Tuakana are very excited in their new room. As you may have observed, the setting resembles a home environment. We have lots of new equipment that children may be familiar with and identify that they have seen it in their own home. With this in mind our focus is to value and respect our resources. We are encouraging self-help skills in all aspects and particularly with the lunch boxes we provide to help best prepare your child for school.
New Centre
You would have noticed that our new centre has opened. We now have four different rooms – Nga Pepi (0-1yrs), Ruma Potiki (1-2yrs), Nga Teina (2-3½ yrs ish), Nga Tuakana (3½ish-5yrs). Nga Pepi and Nga Tuakana are in the new building. Meal/Kai times in the Nga Tuakana room have slightly changed morning tea is now at 10:30am, Lunch at 12:30pm and afternoon tea is at 3:15pm. This is to coincide with the local schools breaks to help better transition when they are off to school. If you have any questions about your account or bookings you will still need to come to the main office and speak to Nicole.
Under Two Programme
Some of our almost two year olds have been transitioning to the Nga Teina room which has been total excitement exploring the bigger environment. Ruma Potiki have been especially enjoying their new extra outdoor space to test their physical abilities as well getting a lot of use with their new trough.
Countdown Super Animal Cards
If any children (or parents) are collecting the cards and are still missing a few please come see Nicole as we have extras.
